General information

This privacy policy applies to Unprint, a product of Envict SC. This privacy policy explains how our organization (“Envict” hereunder) uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our unprint.app website (“Unprint” hereunder) and its related web application.

What data do we collect?
Registration of users

  • Name, first name
  • Email
  • Country

Registration of companies (for professional accounts)

  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Company country
  • European VAT identification number, if applicable

Payments

While we keep track of payment records for our own site activation process (email, amount paid, last four digits of payment card), we do not have access to any sensitive information, such as the full credit card number or CVC code.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Unprint with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Access our website: your country is checked according to your IP address
  • Register online as a new user
  • Create a new Unprint environment (also referred as “domain” or “site”)
  • Voluntary complete a customer survey or provide feedback to any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use one of our communication forms on our website
  • Upload your document files on the site, either directly on the web page, via email or a mobile application.

How do we use your data?

Unprint collects your personal and company data so that we can:

  • Identify you as unique account owner.
  • Inform you on any technical, functional or administrative topics related to your account.
  • Inform you through a newsletter on the evolution of our products, provided that you gave your explicit agreement to receive such communication.
  • Perform the invoicing process.

Your personal and company data will only be used by Envict SC and will never be communicated to external partners without your explicit consent.

When you upload your documents on Unprint:

  • Scanned document (images) are processed by an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) algorithm.
  • All identified text elements are indexed and stored in our database. These data records can then be used by the search engine to quickly retrieve your documents.

We consider all the data related to your uploaded documents – the indexed texts elements and the documents themselves – as strictly confidential. It is stored for your own use only in a secure server.

  • We do not make any internal or commercial use of your document data.
  • Your documents remain your exclusive property. Neither the Unprint team nor the Envict SC staff is allowed to make any use of them without your explicit consent.
  • These documents and their content will never be disclosed to third parties without your express consent.

How do we store your data?

All communications between the client and the server are encrypted.

Unprint will keep your account-related data as long as you have an active account (environment). All your account-related data is deleted immediately when your account is closed.

A free account and its related data account can be deleted after a period of six months without being used.

Unless deleted manually, your user and its related data (name, first name, email) is kept for maximum six months in the absence of any related account.

In case the Unprint service needs to be closed, users will be notified one month before the actual closure. In such case, all account- and user-related data would be deleted at the time of closure.

Payment tool – Stripe

Unprint uses Stripe to process payments and provide billing information to the customers.

The responsible entity is Stripe, Inc., 185 Berry Street, Suite 550, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

If you sign up to a paid Unprint subscription, the following data will be sent to Stripe, and saved by them:

  • Your name and email address
  • Details of your payment method (credit card number, expiry date, CVC)
  • Your IP address, and the time and date of your transaction

Marketing

Envict would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like. This information will be shared via our newsletter.

The subscription to this newsletter is optional and is done explicitly when signing up by marking a checkbox. You can unsubscribe at any time from your user parameters in your Unprint environment. In case you have created a user but do not have any active Unprint environment, you can unsubscribe be sending an email to info@unprint.app.

We do not share your data for marketing purposes outside Envict.

What are your data protection rights?

Envict and the Unprint team would like to make sure you are fully aware of all you data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request Envict for copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Envict correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Envict to complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Envict erase your personal data, under certain conditions (*).
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Envict restrict the processing of your personnel data, under certain conditions (*).
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Envict’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions (*).
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Envict transfers the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions (*).

(*) All applicable conditions to exercise the above rights are defined in the GDPR regulation of the European Union.

What are cookies?

Cookies are text files place on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information. When you visit our websites, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.

What types of cookies do we use?

Our website only uses session and functionality cookies. They help us to recognize you on our website. The session cookies have a lifetime of two weeks. To avoid them, you can log out manually when you leave your Unprint session.

We also use cookies generated by Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect statistics relating to the use of our website. This data is anonymized and does not allow you to be identified.
